Georgia Mountains Christian Academy is very proud of the work the Middle School Service Team completed in its inaugural year. At GMCA, the sixth through eighth grades combined to help others and spread the love of Jesus Christ. On the last Thursday of each month, the team went out into the community and completed service projects as part of their curriculum. This year, GMCA is proud to add the 9th grade to the team. This will allow the students to reach out to more organizations throughout the year.
The orientation (which is the first service day in August) is completed at the school. Students assist teachers and faculty in making improvements around the campus. This gives the students an opportunity to learn skills they will need in order to complete projects for other organizations.
We will be working with different organizations throughout the year including, but not limited to: John B. Gesbocker Animal Shelter, Circle of Hope, nursing homes, and various churches. We would love to add more organizations to our list.
